219 – The Joy of Teaching God’s Word
Rev. Steve Jaynes
I heard a singer-songwriter do an interview one day as I was driving in my car. What he said started me thinking about what I do. Why do I love teaching God’s Word?
Because I love to reading, searching, studying and think about God’s Word. Then to putting something together so others can get the benefit of God’s Word in their lives.
A singer-songwriter puts it together for the purse, for the money and they love doing it too. I do it for the Joy of making God’s Word known and easily understood for others.
I love listening to good teachings for the same reason. When I hear a good teaching that point out great principals, promises, and encouragement I love sharing these with others also.
Then that starts all the other work of recording the teachings, writing good teachings, producing the teachings and everything that I do to get the Word of God out to others. Much like the singer songwriter was sharing about his life.
We just have different reasons, different ultimate goals. His maybe just for temporal reasons. Mine are for others benefit. I want to show people the tremendous love God has for them. How all mankind can benefit from the knowledge of God’s Word.
Give a listen.
Until the next time we get together, may God bless you abundantly.
